But I've never tried before, while I'm fairly seasoned at the arcade now...

They're fun. Some of them are complicated. But easy ones you can play with other people can be pretty great.

You can play video games with others too, but you're still stuck staring at the screen first and foremost. That's a downside, in my opinion.
